Shockwatch is a state-of-the-art precision impact detection device that utilizes two common physical principles to indicate a magnitude of shock. Affected only by the specific impacts for which it was designed, the Shockwatch is economical and versatile enough to lend itself to a wide variety of monitoring applications. Those applications range from manufacturing surveillance and warranty limitations to transportation.
The broadest use for Shockwatch is in the area of transportation. Designed as an active shipping label that DEMANDS attention from handling personnel, the Shockwatch label fills a need for accurately and effectively controling the handling of sensitive merchandise during the transportation cycle. The label and our established education program offer an effective psychological dimension to the art of packaging and distribution. In short, Shockwatch means less abuse, and less abuse means fewer damage incidents.
Shockwatch labels are available in five sensitivities, as indicated by the five different colors. The activation levels are geared to indicate an impact to a container at a level beyond which the packaging could fail to protect the product. A selection guide is available to make the choice of the appropriate label relatively simple.
A Shockwatch label will be affixed to the exterior of each carton that contains impact vulnerable goods and will follow the following monitoring cycle.
All shipments bearing a Shockwatch label will additionally be identified with a sticker or notification on the bill of lading.
Each Shockwatch label contains a precision glass vial filled with a proprietary liquid. In the event the carton is dropped beyond acceptable handling limits, the fluid will indicate BRIGHT RED.
Once in the red state, the fluid color cannot be altered, thus providing you with a permanent indication that an impact has occurred beyond a desired level during transit.
Those cartons delivered with the Shockwatch label in its original "clear" state will normally indicate a safe trip. However, those shipments that arrive with the indicator "Red" should note on the billing of lading, and inspect the package for possible damage. In all cases, standard procedures for claims should be followed.

For Monitoring the Duration of Damaging Temperatures
WarmMark Time-Temperature Tags put you in control even after your product has been shipped. With WarmMark, your customers know at a glance if the product has been exposed to abusive temperatures during shipping or storage.
WarmMark also indicates if that exposure has continued for an extended period of time. WarmMark Time-Temperature Tags are a strategic, value-added plus for your product, providing a permanent record that assures your customers of consistent quality.
HOW THE WARMMARK WORKS
WarmMark Time-Temperature tags are designed for accurate monitoring at the lowest possible cost. Its basic components are:
A track strip of blotter paper running length of the tag.
A blotter paper pad saturated with a red-dyed chemical specially formulated to melt at the tag's response temperature.
A strip of barrier film separating the track strip and the saturated pad.
Its innovative construction makes WarmMark Tags the most accurate, cost-effective choice for your product monitoring.
First, remove the WarmMark activation table and the attached strip of barrier film, bringing the track strip and the saturated pad inside the tag in direct contact with each other. Then, if the tag is exposed above its response temperature, the chemical in the pad melts and begins to migrate down the track strip and color in the circular windows at a controlled rate. Whenever the temperature falls below the response temperature, migration of the chemical stops. Accuracy of the WarmMark Tag is guaranteed to be within 1° above or below the response temperature.
WARMMARK SPECIFICATIONS
Product Size: .75 inches wide x 1.81 inches long x .06 inches thick (1.9 cm wide, 4.6 cm long and .15 cm thick)
Temperature Range: Available in response temperatures from -18°C/0°F to 37°C/99°F
Exposure Times: 15-20 minutes, 50-90 minutes, 5-7 hours; non standard tags available are with longer exposure times (up to 48 hours)

USING THE WARMMARK
Application is simple.
WarmMark's construction makes it fast and simple to add the benefits of time/temperature monitoring to your product.
To prepare the WarmMark Tag for use, store the tag for a minimum of 30 minutes at least 5°C below the response temperature. Then apply the WarmMark Tag by peeling the release liner off the back of the tag and adhering the pressure sensitive adhesive backing to a dry surface. From that point on, WarmMark will monitor your product until it reaches its destination.
